IF YOU MISS JESUS YOU LOSE EVERYTHING

Introduction

In a world filled with distractions, ambitions, and material pursuits, it’s easy to lose sight of our true purpose on earth. Amid the chaos of daily life, we often forget the profound impact that obedient to the word of God can have on our existence. In this blog post, we’ll explore why missing Jesus is more than just a spiritual oversight-it’s a loss of purpose, hope, and eternal salvation.

The void without Jesus in our lives

1.         Purposelessness

Without Jesus, life can feel, a ship adrift in a stormy sea. We search for meaning in achievements, and relationships, but these pursuits often leave us empty. Nothing in this world can satisfied. When we miss Him, we lose our true sense of direction, wandering through life, searching the world for satisfaction not realizing true satisfaction comes from having a relationship with Jesus,

Hopelessness

Hope is the anchor that keeps us steady during life’s tempests. Jesus offers hope beyond circumstances, reminding us that trials are temporary and eternity awaits his true disciple. When we miss Jesus, our hope dwindles, replaced by anxiety and despair. We become prisoners of our circumstances, forgetting that there is a Savior who will never leave us and he will never forsake us.

Identity

Who are we without Jesus? Our identity is intricately woven into our relationship with him. When we miss Jesus, we forget that we are beloved of God, Wonderfully made. We chase after worldly possessions and wealth- only to find out the satisfaction we seek is not from this world. What we seek comes from another world and no amount of earthly possessions and wealth can fill the void we feel.

LOVE UNCLAIM

Jesus embodies love in its purest form The love of God is sacrificial. His love

gives us the advantage over sin and death. His sacrifice on the cross demonstrates a love that surpasses human comprehension. When we live in disobedience to God’s precepts, we reject his love- the very essence of our existence. We settle for counterfeit affections, seeking validation from imperfect people, Yet, Christ's unconditional love remains available awaiting to be fully embraced.

REDISCOVERING JESUS

Seeking his presences

To find Jesus, we must enter a place of brokenness. In 2 Corinthians 7:10

10 For [godly] sorrow that is in accord with the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but worldly sorrow [the hopeless sorrow of those who do not believe] produces death. The place of brokenness brings us to a place of repentance, giving us the ability to hear Jesus knotting at the door. It's in the state of broken we can answer the door truly believe in our heart and confess Jesus is lord of our life. The Bible says in

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is near to the heartbroken and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart, truly sorry for their sin)

REMEMBERING JESUS’S SACRIFICE

At the cross, Jesus bore our sins, offering redemption and reconciliation. When we remember His sacrifice, we grasp the magnitude of his love. Communion because more than a ritual; it’s a sacred moment of connection with our savior.

2,LIVING IN HIS LIGHT

When we walk with Jesus, His light illuminates our path. We discover purpose, hope, and true identity in him. Our pursuits align with his will and our hearts overflow with love for our brothers, our sisters, and to ward those who despitefully used and hurt us. As we abide in him, and He in us we will bear fruit producing evidence of our faith in Jesus. As we live in the image we were created to be. Taking on the nature, character, and lifestyle of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

CONCLUSION

Missing Jesus isn’t merely a theological concept; it’s a tangible loss. Let’s reflect, and repent of our sins, open the door to our hearts, and let Jesus in and accept him as our lord and Savior. When we find Jesus we discover the true essence of our existence- the only one who completes us, and gives us access to eternity beyond our wildest dreams.

Let us remember these words from Jesus.

John 15: 6-8

If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken off] branch, and withers and dies; and they gather such branches and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified and honored by this when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My [true] disciples.
