Transformation by the word of God is a profound belief that resonates with believers seeking spiritual growth through a relationship with the Father. We cannot be transformed without the reflection of God’s nature and character in the way we live, the things we do, the company we keep, etc.,
Let us pull back the curtains and explore this topic.
1. At the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ lies the promise of transformation. The regeneration of our spirit grants us access to God’s ability, which enables us to be submissive to the direction of the Holy Spirit who guides us away from conforming to the patterns of this world and directs us to the renewing of our mind with the precepts that governs citizens of the kingdom of God, [God’s moral conduct] that points us toward transformation. It's more than just a change; it’s a shift in our very nature that reflects the character of the image we were created in. Transformation occurs as we embrace God’s precepts allowing it to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and perspectives. Regeneration is the sovereign work of God by the Holy Spirit that grants us the renewal of our hearts. The Holy Spirit gives us a new nature, that fulfills God's promise; that He will put a new spirit in us. A transformed disciple of Jesus Christ is born of water and of the spirit of God.
Let us recall what Jesus said in John 3:5, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
Therefore, true transformation is impossible “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot be truly transformed into the image we were created in, without the sovereign work of God by the Holy Spirit that grants us the renewal of our hearts. Access to enter God's kingdom will be denied.
In conclusion:
In Christ, a new creation is born of water and spirit that craves righteousness. Paul reminds us that salvation can not be superficial, in other words, transformation by the words of God is not possible without the regeneration of the spirit of man by the Holy Spirit. Regeneration birth into the hearts of men is a thrust for righteousness.
Community and Responsibility: Transformation thrives in the communities by engaging with other believers, sharing insights, and holding each other accountable. Confessing our sins, one to another, and praying for one another. Continuously allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us to Holiness and blamelessness-( Colossians 5:17) When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become a new creature. Our stony heart is replaced, the old you, burdened by iniquity, passes away, and we embrace a fresh new identity in Christ. Our desires, motivations, and priorities shift to the things of God.
Colossians 1:21-22
Amplified Bible
21 And although you were at one time estranged and alienated and hostile-minded [toward Him], participating in evil things, 22 yet Christ has now reconciled you [to God] in His [a]physical body through death, to present you before the Father holy and blameless and beyond reproach.
Transformation by the word of God Isn’t a one-time thing; it's a continuous process. As we yield to God’s spirit and immerse our lives in the Scriptures, We, become vessels through which His divine nature shines. Let this glorious promise inspire you on your journey of faith.
